The Dark Skin is El Que Cocina, Never The Protagonist

Description

Dialogue workshop. Discussion about the Latino representation in the media. It is common in many Latino cultures to create stigmas on their own race. The lighter you are, the higher your status, your beauty. This is a common representation in the media, where in telenovelas or soap operas the most important characters are always played by light skinned people. While the cleaners, cooks or keepers are always played by darked skinned people.
