Approximately 166,800 residents are under evacuation warnings, says assistant sheriff

About 166,800 Los Angeles County residents remain under evacuation warnings, according to Myron R. Johnson, assistant sheriff for patrol operations of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Currently, 100,053 residents are under evacuation orders, Johnson said. Approximately 57,830 structures are at risk from the fires.

The department has deployed more than 500 sheriff’s personnel, he added.
